Welcome New Members and How to Use the Blog

February 22, 2022 0 Comments

Happy Tuesday and Birthday to me (hee hee) Wordsmiths,

I want to send out the warmest of welcomes to all new members. Thank you for joining the madness. I hope you’ll find the group entertaining and educational. I wanted to let you all know, new members and old, that the blog www.thetimeiswrite.com has a lot of information on novel writing.

How to Use the Blog

I designed the blog to provide articles on various novel writing subjects. Also, to help new writers who have always wanted to write a book and don’t know the best way to go about it. So, without further ado, let me explain how to use the blog.

For Newer Writers

When you reach the blog, you’ll see sections on the left-hand side. If you click on the section STEP BY STEP, it will take you to a series of articles telling you how to craft a novel step by step, in order. Of course, everyone who writes does so differently, but I feel it’s good to have some order to get you started. As you go along, however, you’ll undoubtedly find your way, your style. But, if you find yourself wishing and never starting, I think you’ll find that section helpful.

There is another section, HELP ME WRITE, where you’ll find many articles on different parts of the writing process.

How to Create a Protagonist Your Readers Will Never Forget

If you are looking for some guidance on developing a protagonist, I published a mini eBook in a questionnaire format with explanations as to why the questions are there that help you create a dynamic and developed protagonist. The best part is it’s only 99. Click here to go straight to Amazon and grab it for yourself.

Grammarly Premium, Canva, and Pixabay

If you need a little help with perfecting grammar and punctuation, get yourself Grammarly Premium. It’s not perfect, but it is a fantastic way to improve your writing. I never write without it. CLICK BELOW to sign up. Grammarly has a free version but it isn’t that good in my opinion.

If you need to make booklets, invitations, blog posts, marketing materials, and just about anything else writing-related, then CANVA is for you. And the best part? IT’S COMPLETELY FREE. What a great site. CLICK BELOW to sign up.

Last but not least, if you need great FREE stock photos, then look no further than PIXABAY. I love that site. Thousands of fantastic pictures for you to use. Check it out. They’re completely free. CLICK HERE to check it out.

Alrighty, I hope you find this blog post super helpful. Let me know in the comments.

Happy Writing! Gina
