Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed something lacking within the group that I’d like to see change. When answering the questions, more than 90% of those requesting to become members wrote that they want in because they either want help with what they’re working on or they want to share their knowledge and bounce ideas off other writers.

However…

Barely anyone asks for help, responds to my posts on the blog, or to the questions I pose to the group as to what they’re working on and if they need help or want an opinion. Most of the time, when I hold a fun short story contest to help hone writing skills, I rarely get more than two people to enter. They’re free, come with a silly prize for the winner, and allow your work to be seen and constructively critiqued if requested.

I started the group to help and encourage writers. That’s why I have the blog: to provide articles on all novel-writing subjects.

If you’re interested in improving your writing, use the group, enter the contests (they’re free), read all the blog posts, and ask questions. (www.thetimeiswrite.com).

I want you to be the best writer you can be. Let’s support each other. I can’t help if you don’t contribute. I hope this post gets the ball rolling. If there’s anything you want to see more of in the group. I’m open to suggestions and here to help, always.
