Hi Everyone,
Today’s post features someone I know who is a wonderful up and coming artist. I interviewed her and you’ll find that interview below.
If you need a wonderful artist (and person) to illustrate for you or to help you design a book cover, consider Dee. Check out her information below.
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. When did you first get into the art of drawing?
Thank you so much for your interest in me. So my love of drawing started at a very young age. In middle school, it started with doodles in my notebook to help me with my notes, and it grew from there.
What other types of drawing or art do you create?
I have dabbled in many art styles, from commercial painting to murals, graffiti, and pottery.
What hobbies do you enjoy besides art?
Reading!!! I love reading comics and manga. Most of my inspiration comes from the art in these books. Hiking is another hobby of mine; it helps me refresh.
Do you have a portfolio of your work? If so, please add the link here so potential clients can take a look.

What advice would you give someone wanting to have an art career but not sure if they have what it takes?
Network! Networking is super important. Go out to local events and support local artists. Word of mouth works best when looking for art jobs. Social media is important to show off work, but the power of networking will get you further.
Do you have a webpage or blog that people can check out?
dreadydee.comĀ is my website that I update often.
Where can people find your works?
Most of the work I have sold are canvases and illustrative products. Stickers and pins are always available when I host an art show as well on my website. Some of my murals are also in homes. All of that can be seen on my social media and website.
What could you create for novel writers with your art?
Concept art. Creating the characters and bringing them to life. My illustrative skills can bring a new perspective.
How can you help authors bring their book cover ideas and artwork to life in their genre?
Yes, I have many styles of characters. I am very diverse in many styles of concept art, so being flexible and helping the author bring out their vision.
I have no idea why that happens. Try turning off notifications. Sorry.
